The second Hackathon at OTH Regensburg

HACKABURG...CONTINUED!

After an overwhelming feedback last year at Hackaburg 2016, the whole Hackaburg-Team, our professors and the President of the OTH knew, there must be a Hackaburg 2017. So we started in September with the preparations to bring again a great Hackathon to Regensburg and to you! We are thrilled to not just make Hackaburg happen again but to also use the experience from our first year, to bring Hackaburg 2017 to a whole new level!

A PERFECT ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR CREATIVITY

You care about your project, we take care about everything else! We’re already in contact with several companies to set up a cozy venue with everything you need. Especially food and drinks, reliable and fast internet (yea, we learned from our mistakes!) and of course power supply and some places for you to recharge your batteries if needed.

FOR EVERYONE

We are looking for a diverse group of people who want to work on an idea for a few days. You are a designer? Help create the user interface. You are a business rockstar? Create a business or customer plan and convince everyone, that your project is the best! You want to try coding for the first time? We have you covered as well with introduction workshops that will give you a first glance about coding.

FAQ:

  • How many people will attend the Hackathon?

We're planning with 150 attendees, 80% students and 20% professionals!

  •  What can I build?

Anything your heart desires! Hardware, web, mobile, gaming; you name it, we’ll support it.

  •  What about hardware?

We’ll have a hardware lounge with plenty of boards, tools, and gadgets for you to check out!

  • Team Sizes?

Maximum team size is 5 but of course you also can work in projects on smaller teams, there is no minimum size.

  • How do I find a team?

A team has to be smaller than 5 people. On the first day, we will have a short pitch event. That means, you can come with an idea and tell everyone what you're looking for or you get inspired by other people.

  • What should I bring to the event?

Your computer (laptop or desktop), any electronics want to use, chargers, toiletries and a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow if you're planning to stay over night and we hope you will! And of course, your student ID.

  • Overnight stay?

Sure! We'll have a sleeping room available with 20 campbeds, BUT just from Saturday (22.4) to Sunday (23.4).
